Ο Σύνδεσμος Ανάπτυξης Ακινήτων Κύπρου, αναγνωρίζει τη σημασία και στηρίζει την προώθηση του αναθεωρημένου νομοσχεδίου για τη δημιουργία Εθνικού Μηχανισμού Ελέγχου Άμεσων Ξένων Επενδύσεων, το οποίο αποτελεί ένα σημαντικό βήμα για την εναρμόνιση της χώρας μας με το ευρωπαϊκό πλαίσιο. Είναι ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό το γεγονός ότι η Κύπρος θα αποκτήσει ένα σύγχρονο και σαφές πλαίσιο για την προστασία της εθνικής ασφάλειας και της δημόσιας τάξης στο πλαίσιο των ξένων επενδύσεων, χωρίς να υπονομεύεται η ελκυστικότητα της χώρας ως επενδυτικού προορισμού.
Η υιοθέτηση άλλωστε σαφών και διαφανών διαδικασιών συνιστά βασική προϋπόθεση για την εδραίωση της εμπιστοσύνης των ξένων επενδύσεων και την περαιτέρω ανάδειξη της Κύπρου ως ενός σύγχρονου και αξιόπιστου επενδυτικού προορισμού. Η προσέλκυση ποιοτικών επενδύσεων που είναι και το ζητούμενο, ανέκαθεν συνέβαλε στην ανάπτυξη της κυπριακής οικονομίας και, ευρύτερα, στην πρόοδο της κοινωνίας.
Ο Σύνδεσμος Ανάπτυξης Ακινήτων Κύπρου παρακολουθεί στενά τις εξελίξεις που αφορούν το επενδυτικό περιβάλλον της χώρας και θεωρεί σημαντικό όπως το νέο πλαίσιο εφαρμοστεί με τρόπο που να διασφαλίζεται η διαφάνεια και η αξιοπιστία της χώρας, ενισχύοντας παράλληλα την επενδυτική δυναμική της.
Η Γενική Διευθύντρια του Συνδέσμου, κα. The Cyprus Property Developers Association welcomes the revised bill for the establishment of a National Screening Mechanism for Foreign Direct Investments. This is an important step that brings Cyprus in line with the European framework and provides the country with a modern, transparent system for safeguarding national security and public order, while preserving its appeal as an investment destination.
Clear and transparent procedures are essential for building investor confidence and positioning Cyprus as a reliable and forward-looking investment hub. Quality investments have always played a central role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and supporting the long-term progress of society.
According to the association’s General Manager, Mrs. Mersina Isidorou, the association closely monitors developments that affect the investment environment and considers it crucial that the new framework is implemented in a way that combines transparency with stability, ensuring that Cyprus remains competitive and attractive to investors.
Further highlighting that the Association represents one of the country’s key economic pillars, Mrs. Isidorou noted that the Cyprus Property Developers Association is committed to supporting every initiative that strengthens Cyprus’ competitiveness. ‘‘We will continue to contribute actively and constructively to the public dialogue, with the aim of shaping a comprehensive and effective institutional framework that benefits the economy and society as a whole’’ the General Manager added.
